Pendant Lights

A pendant lamp/light is a suspended light fixture that hangs from the ceiling, typically hanging by a cord, chain, or metal rod.

Pendant lights are commonly used in multiples, suspended in a straight line over kitchen bench tops and dining room furniture or sometimes in bathrooms. Pendant lights are offered in a wide variety of sizes and materials, from metal to glass, concrete to plastic. Many modern pendants are energy-saving low-voltage models and some use halogen or fluorescent bulbs.

A larger pendant luminaire usually LED or can be with long fluorescent or multiple incandescent bulbs are sometimes considered a type of chandelier. It is a key component in understanding architectural lighting design and is sometimes associated with interior design.
